Jerry Garcia

I was on a train coming out of Stockholm, Sweden heading for Copenhagen, Denmark on the morning of 10 Aug 1995. A gentleman also sitting in first class had a guitar and newspaper. He was fluent in English, and we struck up a conversation about music. Consequently, I responded "Grateful Dead" when he asked me about my favorite band.

At that time I heard the news. He gave me the cover story. I carried it with me ultimately back to the United States via eight other countries, currencies and languages. While I don't have the English translation, it is not too difficult to figure out the jist.
