One song, "Blue Moon Rising," written by Jim Ray around 1986 and performed with a former band, Whirled Peas, along with Miner Gleason and some others. It was quite a surprise to see the Rolling Stone charts of 1999 with that song sandwiched right between the Guess Who and the Wallflowers in the #9 position.

Blue Moon Rising

Words & Music - Jim Ray

Talk to me, can you tell me what's on your mind?
Tell me, can I help you out of a bind?

    Blue Moon Rising

The days just keep on rolling on by.
With them come these tears of joy in my eyes.

    Blue Moon Rising

I want to see you smile for all of time.
If you cry, it's really no crime.

    Blue Moon Rising

Just one more thing I want to say
Don't let your love slip away.
