Welcome to Terrapin Junction

We love music. With the better part of a century of collective music experience, we enjoy plugging our instruments into those vintage vacuum tube amplifiers and letting them sing. We smile, have fun and usually get folks dancing.

Material? Yes, we can handle those three-set monster gigs. We have two flavors to offer: electric and acoustic. Our style best fits into the category of jamband. We play lots of Grateful Dead, traditional music and even have some originals as well. A song is merely an excuse to get a jam started.

Thanks for visiting! Be sure to check back on the calendar page for future gigs and to sign up for our personal email list in service since 1995 and not shared with third parties for protection of your privacy.

We hope you visit our next show and enjoy it as much as we do. Your support is very much appreciated. Life is a fully stoked, stroked, bored EL34 vacuum tube and 450V. Long live rock.

Notes:

  1. Dead Air was trimmed. It consisted mostly of kid sounds from the nearby swimming pool or air conditioner whine. Not very interesting, and not worth making this a 3-disc set to keep it.
  2. The only convenient place to set up the mics was on the house side of the yard. That's where the air conditioning unit lives, and you can hear it over on the left sometimes, mostly between songs. Serendipidously, it was *not* running during "We Bid You Good Night" :-)
  3. Gotta love those spring reverbs, eh? You can hear 'em crash here and there when the band got a little too enthusiastic (they were set up on a deck stage that had a bit of flex to it).
